"This was my first experience on Rover. We needed last-minute dog care while traveling for our 2 pups. We interviewed a few situations and Michael was by far the most amazing vibes and energy. I did not have the opportunity to meet Chantelle, but I can tell you Michael sold it for us. He is so calm and caring and even did a meet and greet with us ahead of time. He had no problem managing a geriatric dog and a puppy. Their home is in a beautiful area and our dogs came back so happy. We never thought that our high energy young dog could ever get tired but she slept for the entire day after. Our old lady was happy and took to Michael immediately. This is a situation that can accommodate any energy dog or a dog with needs. Highly recommend! Very loving situation."

"Here’s the revised review: **Outstanding First Boarding Experience - Highly Recommend!** I recently boarded my dog Benji with Chantell K. for the first time, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the care and communication she provided. From the start, she made the experience seamless. We had a meet-and-greet a few days before boarding where Chantell spent about 45 minutes getting to know Benji and understanding his needs. This really helped ease my nerves about leaving him. On drop-off day, Chantell was incredibly reassuring, and she truly followed through on that promise. Within 20 minutes of leaving, I received a text letting me know Benji was settling in well. Throughout his stay, she sent me videos of him playing with other dogs, which was wonderful to see. She followed his feeding regimen to a tee and kept me updated regularly. When I picked Benji up, he was in great spirits - happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Chantell was accommodating and professional throughout the entire experience. If you’re looking for someone who provides excellent care and peace of mind for your dog, I highly recommend Chantell K.!"

"We can't give enough praise about boarding with Chantell. We made a very last minute boarding request due to an unexpected situation that was responded to promptly. There were some hiccups on our end, plus changes in schedule and Chantell and Michael rolled with all of it. Most importantly, the dog was super happy when she was picked up and clearly well cared for during her stay. We can't thank them enough."

"Overall, this was not a good experience. Both of my dogs were returned vomiting and were later diagnosed with an inflamed pancreas. I had to take two days off work to care for them. One of my dogs required urgent care after vomiting blood, and both dogs then needed vet visits for medication and testing. It also appears they may not have been fed their own food. I packed organic dog food, and the food bag was returned completely untouched. I communicated back and forth with Chauntell, who suggested the pink vomit may have been caused by a pink blanket one of the dogs may have eaten. If I am leaving my dogs in someone else’s care, the caregiver should know exactly what they are eating and what they have access to. That lack of awareness is a serious red flag. Additionally, both dogs came home with a strong, foul odor, which was concerning. I am giving one star only because my dogs were returned alive. This experience caused significant stress, time off work, and unexpected expenses, and I would not feel comfortable using this Chantel again based on what occurred. I canceled my future booking with her and have not heard back from the caregiver since I sent in a complaint. No apologies no response at all, aside from poor baby , which displays to me lack of accountability."

"Chantell and Michael are truly incredible. I moved here in 2019 with Murphy. I had unexpectedly been displaced the day after we arrived. They opened their house up to Murphy immediately. They let me come and visit him while I was waiting for my place to be ready. Since then he has been treated like family. It is his second family and his vacation spot. As soon as we pull into the driveway he is howling. When I ask him if he wants to see his friends he can hardly contain himself. I recently adopted another dog and they have also treated her like family. I am never worried about them when they are at their house. They both feel comfortable there and love the other dogs. I really don’t know what I would do without having them. People always worry about leaving their dogs somewhere when they go out of town. I never worry! My dogs love them and their family!"

I'm not sure how he did overnight as this wasn't mentioned, but he was exhausted after a one-night stay so he must have been an active boy! I’m not sure if there was confusion in my paper care instructions I sent, but all 4 wet food packs that get mixed with his raw pellets were still in his bag at pickup. I received 2 photos total and one little message total, a few hours before pickup. I don’t think my dog will be back since food and communication are a basic care necessity for me. Hopefully my experience is a one-off!"

"If I could give 1,000 stars it would not be a sufficient number to illustrate how happy I am with the care my dogs received while with Chantell and Mike. I had never left my small dogs with a boarder who had other dogs in the home so I was nervous wondering if they would play with the other dogs, or isolate themselves. Turns out Chantell does an amazing job of introducing the animals to one another so it is safe (most important) but also stress free. The dogs are allowed to be dogs and figure out the newcomers as dogs do. They had full access to the home and played outside under supervision. They took time to get to know the personalities of my dogs and gave them each what they needed. I received pictures whenever I asked. The updates made me feel so secure that my dogs were is a happy safe place. I will be boarding again next time for 2 weeks while I travel. My only concern is that one day they just may hide when I show up because they would rather stay with Chantell than come home with me!!. Thank you for loving on my dogs while I was gone."

"Our two dogs stayed with Chantell and Michael over Thanksgiving. The meet and greet process as well as the drop off/pick were easy and painless. Chantell sent photos of the dogs periodically to check in with us while we were away. When our dogs got home, that’s when the issues surfaced. Our little dog came home with a bacterial infection with blood in her stool and other came home with bite marks on her side. We were not alerted that there were any issues. We picked this Rover because of the reviews. It’s hard to stay away from 200+ 5-star reviews, but with our pups coming home sick or injured we will be looking for a new Rover."

Mike and Chantell don't normally take any new clients..they wouldn't put up with aggressive dogs and have standards for the dogs they watch. You should have just said thank you and left a good review. Sounds like you need to review your expectations of what a Rover is.. "Chantell & Michael’s home & love was the perfect place for our 11 month old pup to stay over the Thanksgiving week. We just moved to Phoenix and was nervous about where our pup would stay, but after seeing the reviews and pictures we felt like this might be a perfect fit - and it truly was! We received photos/vids of our boy playing with the other dogs, being outside, snuggling on the couch (and in bed lol) and it gave us such a peace of mind to know he was in a loving home and surrounded by other furry friends & genuine dog loving humans! Chantell & Michael also we’re flexible with us when our flight was a little later than expected and it was so very much appreciated - they are really kind people & we are grateful for this really positive experience. We will definitely be contacting them for any future trips out of town and know that he will be so excited to reunite with Chantell, Michael & the rest of the doggy squad! ?"

"While I greatly appreciate Chantell and Michael watching our 2 dogs in a pinch during the Thanksgiving weekend - they took our dogs in just a few days prior due to another sitter falling through - I don’t think we will leave our dogs with them again. Both Chantell and Michael are nice people and easy to talk to, but we seldom received updates on our dogs - a couple of blurry videos and pictures featuring tons of other dogs, no updates on how our dogs were actually doing until I reached out and asked, and even then I only got 2 sentences. When I picked up the dogs this morning, one of their beds had been completely chewed up and destroyed by another dog, and the other one was soaked with dog pee. Our dogs would never do either of these things. When I asked Michael about the chewed up bed, he just shrugged and said “that’s just what dogs do”. I wouldn’t have brought the beds over if I knew this would happen, but then again where would our dogs have slept? It wasn’t made clear. I also noticed our dog Laverne had a cut on her leg and was shaken up. No mention of that. Finally, it doesn’t appear either of our dog bowls were used, including the slow feeder for our smaller senior dog, who tends to eat his food in one gulp without it. Again I really appreciate Chantell and Michael for taking in the dogs on such short notice, but I just felt they were way too hands off with the dogs. I have no clue if the dogs got walked, where they slept, if they were properly fed, and how they got along with the other dogs. It felt like I had to go out of my way for updates and I’d prefer not to feel like an inconvenience. I want my dogs well cared for, especially at the price I paid."

"Duke went to camp! And what a wonderful time he had at Chantelle’s home! We dropped him off around 4:00 pm and he was immediately welcomed into her family and was introduced to the other ‘campers’ (a Black Lab named ‘Hank’, her own Chihuahua, ‘Cookie’, and a couple others.) He and Hank immediately hit it off and ran and played together all afternoon. Chantelle sent us pictures and a long message that evening updating us on all of Duke’s adventures! He and Hank went swimming twice that first afternoon. Chantelle sent us pictures and updates every day so we felt like we were there with Duke, launching himself into the swimming pool, enjoying the cool shade from the trees on the lawn, chasing soccer and tennis balls, and of course, the slumber party in the living room every night! Chantelle loved our puppy like her very own. We will take him back whenever we leave town. Thank you for taking such good care of our precious puppy! P.S.
